Coffee Shop Knitters

What a great way to meet nice people! (I’ve never met many knitters who are not nice people.)

On Saturday, a friend of mine and I decided to get in a brisk morning walk. We agreed to walk to Starbucks (about a mile away) and loop back. Of course once there, we couldn’t resist a coffee so convinced ourself that if we walked back really fast, it would be okay.

Lo and behold, picking up our coffee we noticed a lady sitting at a table knitting away. She had little pile of colorful baby hats – both knit & crocheted – on her table. Now you know that we had to stop and chat. Turns out the lady not only lives in our neighborhood but around the corner from me!

My friend and I were impressed the woman had a little stack of colorful business cards, and we each took one. Later that night, before I could lose her card, I emailed her. Afterwards, at my friend’s urging, I designed business cards for myself, incorporating the main picture from my blog onto the card. (I used Vista Print.)

Now look for me at coffee shops all around California! 🙂
